Recap!

Salam, after a looong hiatus, here i am back again for more writting. Just to recap back on some events which i've joined few month back:

1. MITRANS: National Conference on Direction of Malaysian Logistics and Supply Chain in Malaysia, Grand Blue Wave hotel (4,5 & 6 of July 2009)

One of the big event which were conducted by MITRANS, i'm incharge with emailing the participant (we send about 800 + + email to companies and there are approximately 200 participated which include 40 + students from UniKL) , collecting the presentation slides of speaker, transporting some of the goodies from MITRANS to GBW hotel, setting up the LCD etc. Not much things to do just make sure that everything is in order, every MITRANS member give played their roles for this event, but here my personal opinion about the conference. The good; lot's of industry people coming in discuss about the Malaysian Logistics and Supply Chain issues, lots of fresh positive new knowledge were gained, and the speakers are among the professionals which include distinghuished Prof Alan Mckinnon from Heriott Watt University, Mr Jimmy from AMH, Mr Nazery Khalid from MIMA, Dr Ruth Banomyong from University of Thamasat Thailand and many more! it's all about logistics logistics and logistics! The bad: Too many speakers within short limited time which results to overrun and uneven allocation of time for speakers.. But overall this conference is fantastic! I'll write up more soon on the interesting hi light which I must share with you all regarding the content input from the speakers.

2.Efficient Port Operation Seminar Quality Hotel Shah Alam;Organized by ORAIS (10-12 August 2009)
Facilitated by Mr Balasundram. It's some kind of introduction to port operation, the basic of port operation, it's a really informative seminar with only 15 participant, it's like having a class, I've never learn about the port operation in any of my transport class during my Bachelor degree, so here it is finally, BM 216 should have this class. My only question is where is the efficient strategy part?? ha ha ha


3.Visit to Konsortium Logistics Berhad with Doctorate Business Admin Student (12 September 2009)
